Newly arrived at Ville de Montréal as a Transportation Electrification Engineer, Philippe’s role is to monitor the market for zero-emission options to replace the city’s immensely varied fleet, measure the fit of these vehicles with the operations, and connect all stakeholders to make the right investments and infrastructure installations happen.
His previous positions in the field of transport electrification gave him a wealth of technical, administrative and analytical experience. Recently, he was in charge of analyzing the data from more than 800 000 km of real-world diesel truck routes to translate this data into precise energy and charging power requirements, which resulted in many Quebec fleets having a clear picture on the possibility and the procedure to transition to battery electric heavy-duty trucks, including dealing with winter conditions.
When not thinking about zero-emissions vehicles, Philippe likes to find the fastest way around a trail, on foot or on a bicycle.
