As the Senior Director of Ancillary Services at Simon Fraser University (SFU), I oversee a diverse portfolio that encompasses retail, food services, esports, sustainable mobility, and more, with an annual budget exceeding $60M. This positions us as one of Canada’s leading not for profit operations of this nature in the country. Our operational model thrives on strategic collaborations with government, private sector, academia, and NGOs, fusing their expertise with SFU’s vision and goals. A testament to this synergy is our Action Labs, which focus on driving systemic transformations, especially in the realm of food system transformation & clean mobility transition. Universities like SFU are not just academic hubs; they’re operational giants capable of driving system-wide climate solutions through a multistakeholder approach.
