Matt Girgis is Managing Director of Volvo Car Canada Limited. In his role, Girgis is responsible for all aspects of the Volvo Cars organization in Canada including sales, marketing and service.
Since 2007, Girgis has worked in a number of different areas across the Volvo Car organization, and was appointed Vice President & CFO in 2013, before2 relocating to Rockleigh, New Jersey to serve as the Deputy Head of Finance and Controller for the Volvo Car, Americas Region.
Prior to his tenure with Volvo Cars, Girgis held several positions at BMW Canada where he worked in various controller roles, as well as retailer profitability and business management.
Matt has also held roles at the Retail level in both the service and parts department. He has been a lover of cars since his time as a ‘lot jockey’ at a Ford dealership during his high school years and is energized by the inevitable transformation of the automotive industry.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance & Accounting from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
