With 17 years of experience in federal policymaking, including 10 years on EV policies, Joe plays an instrumental role in helping to shape Canada’s EV policies. In his role as a policy advisor at Transport Canada, Joe helped to design the former Incentives for Zero-Emission Vehicles (iZEV) Program, and more recently, the new Electric Vehicle Affordability Program (EVAP), which was announced as part of Canada’s Automotive Strategy. He also played a role to inform the evolution of Canada’s EV sales targets over time and strives to maintain healthy and ongoing coordination and collaborative across federal departments on the EV file. Passionate about EV data, Joe takes pride in seeing how Canada’s EV market has matured in recent years and looks forward to seeing how it evolves in the future.
