David Giles

President, PoweredEV Training and Consulting Ltd

David Giles has been involved with the automotive, truck and transport and collision industries for over 30 years. He is currently a Red Seal certified technician, sits on several boards, and has spent years in the training sector.

In 2019, he started ALL EV Canada with the goal of putting affordable electric vehicles on Atlantic Canada roadways. They acquired more EV dealerships and in 2021 were bought by the Steele Auto Group.

David created PoweredEV in 2023, and works for Consulab EV education sector to continue his exploration of EVs, focusing on training, innovation and consulting on the EV global stage.

Working in countries like Saudi Arabia, Germany and UK directly with EV manufacturers, he continues to help the industry build the EV movement worldwide through innovative ideas.

David has been a guest speaker at several automotive conferences that involve battery-electric vehicles and advanced vehicle systems. He was named one of the Top 100 innovators in 2023 for his work on the interactive Demo Electric Vehicle (iDEV), and he continues to work on developing systems and content for service technicians, first responders and education schools worldwide.

    This workshop equips first responders with critical knowledge and skills for managing incidents involving electric vehicles. Participants will learn about how to safely handle electrical risks, battery fires, and emergency shutdown procedures. Through hands-on training and expert guidance, attendees will gain the confidence to safely and effectively respond to EV-related emergencies.
