Abid is the Manager, Building Technology at KingSett Capital where he is actively involved in the execution of our building technology vision, and the execution of our decarbonization plans. KingSett Capital is one of Canada’s leading private equity real estate investment and development firm, which has $17.5 billion of assets under management in a portfolio of $19 billion.
Abid was formerly with the City of Pickering where he led their strategic energy plan to develop and implement capital projects, programs and policies to achieve the City’s targets for energy efficiency and carbon reduction. Abid’s past experience includes project management, re-commissioning, green building design and construction, and renewable energy projects through working with Stantec Consulting and Black and McDonald.
Abid holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree, licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario and certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
