Matthew Wenham is the Chief of Engineering & Capital Development for the Port of Cleveland. With a background in civil engineering, infrastructure planning, and construction management, Matt has 28 years of experience in professional practice as an engineer. He is a licensed professional engineer in numerous states. Matt is passionate about sustainable transportation, sustainable construction and decarbonization of our planet, and has contributed to numerous sustainable projects in the aviation industry in past roles. He is currently leading the Port of Cleveland’s implementation of Climate Action Plan through their $36 million Electrification & Warehouse A Modernization project and implementation of the EPA-funded $105 million Cleveland Harbor Electrification Initiative. He earned a degree in civil engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Matt mentors high school students in the City of Cleveland as part of the ACE Mentor program. In his spare time, he enjoys coaching boys’ soccer, teaching Sunday school, gardening, and watching numerous sports. He and his wife Lola have two children.
