Alexis Lavoie holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting, as well as a master’s degree in environment with a specialization in environmental management and circular economy. His career in the environmental sector began as a greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions analyst and project manager for a Montreal consulting firm. He gained extensive experience working with innovative companies while deepening his knowledge of the main GHG standards and requirements.
He then joined METRO Inc. as an advisor on the environment, governance and accountability. His role involved quantifying, monitoring, and communicating the company’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and progress towards its targets. He currently serves as the Manager of Climate Change, where his primary responsibilities include ensuring the accurate quantification, continuous monitoring, and effective communication of emissions. Additionally, he plays a pivotal role in establishing ambitious strategic targets and action plans for METRO.
